Tax Exempt Purchases

As an Ohio manufacturer and retailer, PVC Vent Screens is required by the State of Ohio to collect sales tax on all purchases made by those that reside within the State of Ohio. The sales tax rate, which is currently 6.5%, includes a combination of both state and local taxes. State law does grant exemptions for qualifying charitable organizations, businesses and government agencies.

Qualifying charitable organizations, businesses and government entities within the State of Ohio may supply us with a completed and signed Sales and Use Tax Blanket Exemption Certificate if they wish to purchase our vents screens with tax exempt. Qualifying exemptions include, but are not limited to, businesses that purchase our vent screens for resale.

Please note that only those purchases made after a completed, signed and approved Ohio Sales and Use Tax Blanket of Exemption shall be exempt from sales tax. Under no circumstances are prior PVC vent screen purchases from our store exempt from sales tax.

Although those who reside outside of the State of Ohio are not required to pay Ohio sales tax on purchases made from our website, their home state may require disclosure of the purchase and any applicable sales taxes paid. Please consult your state’s department of taxation to determine if any reporting and sales taxes are due for purchases made with companies that reside outside of your home state.
